PM Narendra Modi turns filmi at a Bollywood event, asks the audience, "How's the josh?" - watch video
At the inauguration of National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his address to members of film fraternity in a rather filmi style. The PM took the sitting audience by sheer surprise as he asked them, “How’s the josh?”, a now-popular dialogue from the recently-released war film Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The gathering, that included famous names such as Aamir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, Kapil Sharma, AR Rahman, Jeetendra, Madhur Bhandarkar, Poonam Dhillon, Subhash Ghai and others, responded saying, “High sir!”
“Nowadays, this josh (enthusiasm) of yours is a hot topic of discussion across the country. For the building of ‘New India,’ this josh is of vital importance,” the PM added.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the 2016 Surgical Strikes launched by the Indian Army on Pakistani terror launchpads across the Line of Control. The mission was in retaliation to the Uri attack that was perpetrated by Jaish-e-Mohammed and that which resulted in the killing of 19 Indian soldiers. Upon its release on January 11, Uri: The Surgical Strike received mixed reviews from movie critics across the country. Contrary to that, the audience embraced the film with all the love and made it the first bona fide box-office hit of this year. The film, written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar, has amassed nearly Rs 80 crore in its eight-day run in cinemas.
